Solem Vatem, the upcoming Unique Leader debut from Raleigh based technical deathcore act KROSIS, will hit stores next Friday. In advance of the release the group has premiered a new lyric video for their song “Apathos Vacant”. The ominous track features devastating guest vocals from The Last Ten Seconds of Life’s John Robert and showcases why KROSIS are quickly proving to be one of the most exciting young bands in the metal underground.
Drummer Dan Cece said of the track, “Apathos is one of my absolute favorite tracks that we’ve ever written. The atmospheric and theatrical elements set this song apart from any on the new record. We are also thrilled to have John from TLTSOL on it as well. We feel this track is a perfect amalgamation of our heavy parts as well as the more progressive song structures that we utilize, making for a hectic yet terrifying journey into the depths” with John Robert adding, “KROSIS holds a tight grip on that head bang life so tracking this guest spot for ‘Apathos Vacant’ was extremely fun. Horns up fuckers!”

KROSIS, who hail from Raleigh, Nc, formed in 2014. This group of talented musicians saw an unsatisfactory pattern of stagnation starting within modern metal music and formed with the intent of combining their diverse influences and creating something truly unique. Too much of modern death metal and deathcore is limited to a paradigm; KROSIS seeks to eliminate boundaries. With backgrounds in rock, jazz, concert bands, and music theory, they bring together many parts of the musical spectrum and emerge with a new and exciting take on a tired genre.
