Devastating brutal death/hardcore act BRAND OF SACRIFICE have premiered another new track off of their forthcoming debut full length God Hand, out July 5th, today at Slam Worldwide. The track, entitled “Fortress”, showcases more of the album’s otherworldly balance of pulverizing brutality, technical prowess, and highly memorable songwriting.
The band commented, “Fortress is loosely based around “The Battle of Doldrey” in the manga Berserk. Doldrey is considered to be unbreakable, is one of the main border castles in the location known as Midland. Essentially, the leader of the mercenary band “Griffith” requests to utilize a minuscule army, only containing a mere 5,000 men, against the enemy’s 30,000. Most find this idea ludicrous, but the King trusts Griffith who has previously come through in many battles for him. From here we find a discussion between Griffith and his army as they begin to strategize and get fired up.
Musically, Fortress is much more structured compared to previous tracks. Make no mistake, this track is as relentless as any and has something for every extreme music fan.”
Formed in 2018 and having already released a masterful and immensely well received EP, The Interstice, the band has already established themselves as one of the most uniquely thrilling and compositionally adventurous extreme metal acts in the scene today. God Hand sees the band continuing to push their tremendous songwriting maturity and ability to command absolute sonic devastation to new heights.
The devastating 10 track album was recorded mixed and mastered by guitarist Michael Leo Valeri and features stunning artwork by Pedro “Lordigan” Sena (Ingested, Organectomy).
BRAND OF SACRIFICE will continue their meteoric rise to the top of the extreme metal world as part of this year’s Summer Slaughter Tour alongside Cattle Decapitation, The Faceless, Carnifex, Rivers of Nihil, Nekrogoblikon, and Lorna Shore.
